During checkout:

If your VAT number is registered in the EU VIES system, Paddle will apply 0% VAT using the reverse charge mechanism.

The invoice you receive will clearly state that VAT is not charged due to reverse charge.

The document you receive is a fully valid invoice, legally acceptable for your accountant in any EU country.

⇒ If you are a PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL (without a valid business VAT number):
VAT is automatically added to the final purchase amount based on your country, as registered in the EU VIES system, in accordance with Directive 2006/112/EC and Regulation (EU) 282/2011.
